A Family Holiday in one of the best Hotels in Torrevieja Spain

La Zenia hotel is one of the best hotels in Torrevieja Spain. As good, if not better than the other 4 star hotels in the local vicinity.

Located on the La Zenia beach, the La Zenia hotel has 220 rooms, perfect for a family getaway and equally good for a romantic trip to the Costa Blanca. There are often special deals, and sales for this hotel.

We were so very pleasantly surprised everything from the welcoming staff to the relaxed atmosphere to the extensive facilities including a restaurant, gym, bar, beauty treatments, an indoor swimming pool, and two outdoor swimming pools in a beautiful setting at the top of the cliff top at the sea edge. Outdoor there is also tennis courts, a bar/cafe, and playground.

On the La Zenia beach there are small beach hut bars with chilled Caribbean style feel to them, a climbing frame from the children, and a volleyball net. The beach has fine golden sand, and usually the majority of people are ex-pats.

To get to La Zenia Hotel you can fly to either Murcia or Alicante airport. Murcia is much closer (only 20 minutes away).

This hotel is perfect for a real family treat, relaxed enough not to worry about the children, yet upmarket enough to feel like you have indulged yourself. On the road of the hotel there are a couple of homemade ice-cream shops the kinder egg flavour is to die for!

A family stroll down to Cabo Roig and its marina is highly recommended, there is a 16th Century tower there, and the restaurant overlooking the marina is excellent.

There are many activities to do from swimming, tennis, horse riding and much more. The horse riding is at "The Ranch" locally just behind Campoamor beach. "The Ranch" also has a restaurant with live entertainment of an evening, and a playground.

The accommodation is adequate with air-conditioning, en-suite bathroom, balcony (most with fabulous sea views), hairdryer, wireless internet, and television.

The food has plenty of English options great for the children! There is a hot and cold breakfast buffet included in the price. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the car park was extra. But you can always park on the road.

Locally there are many sights to see from the salt lakes, or the mud baths at Lo Pagan it is great fun to get covered in mud, and very good for skin conditions such as excema. Something you can pay good money for in England! Other sight seeing options are Terra Mitica a theme park just outside of Benidorm. Torrevieja itself is great for shopping, restaurants, the beach, nightclubs, the night market, and fairground on a summers evening.

The Costa Blanca is a hidden treasure and very up and coming. All in all it is a fabulous place to holiday with the family and I would definitely go back to La Zenia Hotel.
